Leopold Schmallegger uses ID Austria for secure digital identification and, where registered and legally available, Austria's electronic-delivery service through Mein Postkorb. ID Austria authenticates access; Mein Postkorb is the separate service through which participating authorities can deliver documents electronically. New deliveries generate an email notification and can be opened through oesterreich.gv.at or the ID Austria application.

Digital delivery shortens the path from dispatch to review, supports faster answers and follow-ups, reduces the risk of a physical letter waiting unnoticed or being lost, and preserves location independence across the three homebases. It creates a traceable route that can be reviewed wherever the recipient is operating instead of requiring regular inspection of a static physical mailbox.

This is a preferred operational channel, not a claim that every procedure can be digital. Original documents, mandatory physical service, and other legally prescribed exceptions remain physical when required. Registered electronic deliveries may also carry collection deadlines, so digital mailboxes and their notification addresses must be monitored responsibly.
