What the interruption gave us

A temporary interruption can look like lost time. This one showed us something more useful: one provider had become too important to a governed Windows release path.

We responded by creating a private GitHub release lane, building the first governed Cockpit Central Windows executable, and verifying it on DIANEMOBILE108. Proton recovered and remains valuable as an additional resilient lane. I am grateful for that recovery and for the lesson the interruption exposed.

Without that Proton interruption, Diary Resilience would not have become a distinct portfolio capability when it did.

The milestone is real, but so are the remaining gates. Opening once is not the same as production acceptance. Before beta testing, we still need evidence for lifecycle, telemetry and privacy consent, signing, recovery, repair, rollback, uninstall, and final acceptance.

Progress is not only moving faster. Sometimes it is learning where the system must become harder to break.
